Meet Our New Staff!

We’re so excited to have two new staff members on board with us here at Stanley Arts. We decided to ask Evie and James a few questions about their roles, what they like to do outside of work, and which events they’re excited for at Stanley this month in order to get to know them a little better.

Interview with James, our new Events Administrator

What’s your favourite hobby/how do you like to wind down?

I’m really into film at the moment and enjoy cooking when it’s time to switch off.

What’s your favourite thing about the job?

All of the interesting people I meet and the interesting things they all do!

What’s fun to do in the local area?

There are some nice takeaway restaurants and pubs around, Reggae Grill and the Shelverdine Goathouse.

What event are you looking forward to at Stanley?

Really looking forward to Omar, I’m a big fan of his music.

Interview with Evie, our new Assistant Producer

What’s your favourite hobby/how do you like to wind down?

I love music, so I often go to jazz jams to play with other musicians – and I also love walking because I’m from the Lake District, so I try to get out into green space as much as possible.

What’s your favourite thing about the job?

I love thinking about who to programme in different spaces – it’s so exciting thinking about thematic programmes, who we are platforming, and why.

What’s fun to do in the local area?

South Norwood has such a beautiful park with a lake that often has people sailing on it – I’d love to try it out at some point.

What event are you looking forward to at Stanley?

Similarly to James, I’m really looking forward to the Omar gig. His music is so classic – he’s a soul great.
