I remember 1945 on Woodside green there was…

Ted

Was it, was it my birth?

Anonymous

Yeah. Yes…. and I was only 5 so there… But there was bunting everywhere. All the houses everywhere. It’s the only thing I remember, it’s just the sort of the existence of the flags and the bunting and the colours.

Ted

OK, coming back to celebrations, it was the – 

Anonymous

Ohh, and there was a street party at some point, yes.

Ted

Yeah, there is the Jubilee. That which makes it the 25th anniversary, doesn’t it? Of the queen. All our street came out, and they had a street party, well we had a street party. And uh…

It was Watcombe was it? 

Ted

Yes, yes. I beg your pardon I meant to stop by saying it was in Watcombe.
