South Norwood Still Life

Paint a picture from the comfort of your bedroom or create a still life from your sofa! South Norwood Still Life is an online practical drawing and painting course for beginners and those wanting to increase confidence and knowledge in making art. This is a chance to express yourself through creating something new and to connect with other locals. Our friendly and informal classes will introduce participants to the basic principles of painting and drawing, guiding you through a series of exercises to help build confidence and artistic style. These include line, tone, colour and shape, measuring proportion and scale and colour mixing and basic colour theory. 

The course is led by South Norwood based artist and tutor Clare Haward who has extensive experience teaching art to adults online. She regularly exhibits her work in local and national exhibitions and was previously a contestant on Sky Arts Landscape Artist of the Year. Art work generated through the course will be shown through the Stanley Halls website.
