Monologue Writing Workshop: Finding Inspiration in Art and Artefacts

Have you ever wanted to write for the stage?
Have you ever struggled to find something to write about? This workshop will show you how to use paintings from the original Stanley Art Collection to dream up an original monologue.
The workshop will be lead by experienced facilitator Laurie Ogden, a North Wall Catalyst playwright, and is currently on attachment at The Traverse, Edinburgh. She was the winner of the Ambit 2021 Poetry Prize. She has been commissioned by the Barbican, Sky Arts, Barnardos, Nationwide, Roundhouse and has led workshops for organisations including Cardboard Citizens, National Youth Theatre and Barbican Junior Poets.
This event is brought to you by our project partners NLHF & Zoo Co; Your local Croydon theatre company who champion accessibility. Every Zoo Co event is relaxed as standard.
There will also be a BSL Interpreter present at this event.
