Gadgeteers Summer Invention Challenge

We challenged local Gadgeteers to create a brand new invention last summer!

Did you know, South Norwood is the birthplace of many unique and interesting inventions? Inventor William Stanley set up a factory near the train station which supplied his contraptions to artists, meteorologists and explorers across the world!

The challenge saw Gadgeteers draw and describe their creations to inspire the next generation of makers, movers and shakers. We encouraged those involved to sign up the Summer Reading Challenge that ran in all Croydon Libraries over the summer for children aged 4-11.

All your child had to do was read or listen to 6 books during the holidays!
