Family Crafting: Messy tile making

Come along to this family friendly workshop for adults and their little ones to paint, print or build your own tiles! Be inspired by the colours and style of the beautiful, Edwardian tiles here at Stanley Arts.

Session one – Families with children aged 1 – 4
9.55am doors open
10am start time
11am finish time

Session two – Families with children aged 5+
1.55pm doors open
2pm start time
3pm finish time

The tiles from this workshop will be taken away for glazing and firing at the Firing Station and returned to collect from Stanley Arts two weeks later.

Firing Station is a Ceramic Education Studio based in West Norwood. They aim to spread the joy of handbuilding ceramics across all corners of London. Handbuilding is an accessible and relaxing technique in ceramics. “Our classes promote a sense of wellbeing and creativity within the sessions. All skills learnt in our workshops are transferable to making ceramics in your own time. We then provide the kiln service to get your new hobby or cottage industry rolling”.

This event will be taking place in the Living Room which has step free access and an accessible toilet with baby changing.

Please note, the space is pretty cosy. If you’ve booked a ticket and can no longer attend, please let us know so we can offer it to somebody else.

This event was made possible thanks to National Lottery players and The National Lottery Heritage Fund through our year long programme of activity.
