Aunusthan by Pagrav Dance Company showcases rigorous kathak choreography from a contemporary master, Urja Desai. Performed by a group of amazing dancers and musicians it transports the audience into an abstract world of weaving patterns, evocative forms, and riotous rhythms – drawing them in to revel in the purity of technique and virtuoso performances.

“Almost insanely exciting” Donald Hutera, Critic

“Dancing that makes you feel alive” Eddie Nixon, Director, The Place, London

About Pagrav Dance Company and Urja Desai Thakore
Choreographer Urja Desai Thakore is best known for her innovative approach, bringing impeccable classical technique to contemporary storytelling and staging, and as Artistic Director and CEO of PDC, she has built a company that is at the forefront of contemporary British Kathak – taking it from traditional solo dance to a collaborative, interdisciplinary, ensemble art form.

Payal Ramchandani presents Just Enough Madness

Just Enough Madness, a solo work in Kuchipud by Payal Ramchandani, questions the popular definition of ‘normal’ in the context of mental health. Through contemporary and mythological narratives the work acknowledges the existence of mental health battles through time.

“Ramchandani’s hold on the subject is reflected in the ease with which she translates this extremely complex and layered psychological state into dance, clearly the culmination of immense thought, dedication and hard work” Resolution Review, The Place, London
