Arcadia | Cultural Climate Assembly

Stanley Arts is preparing to Declare Climate and Ecological Emergency and we invite you to our Cultural Climate Assembly in the Main Hall on Friday 5th April 1.30 – 5pm.
Together we will deepen our learning on the climate crisis and its impact on our organisations, arts practice and communities, and explore current and future pathways of action.

Culture Declares Emergency (CDE) was founded in 2019 in the UK and is a growing international movement of individuals and organisations across arts, design, crafts and heritage who are declaring a climate and ecological emergency. This means truth-telling, care-taking, and change-making.

Stanley Arts is joining the movement, and we are bringing cultural practitioners, NGOs and organisations in Croydon together to kick-start a CDE Croydon Hub for continued engagement. We invite others in the Croydon arts and cultural sector to Declare Emergency too.

The Assembly will be co-facilitated by Kay Michael, one of our Arcadia co-producers and a co-founder of Culture Declares Emergency and co-facilitated with Anna Arthur, Director of Croydonites Festival.
The event is free and refreshments will be provided.

The Cultural Climate Assembly is part of the wider Arcadia festival from 4 – 7th April at Stanley Arts.
