How can we be agents of change? Maybe by imagining a future we can make it real. Maybe not. Anthropocene: The Human Era dives into the mind of Megan, a young woman dreaming about her future in the wake of the climate emergency. Time is stretched and warped as she sits in her bathroom staring down at a pregnancy test, in a multiple-choice adventure story inspired by Black Mirror’s Bandersnatch and Gecko Theatre’s Time of your Life.
Anthropocene: The Human Era is a piece of ‘digital theatre’. This is a theatre show that we have re-worked for the camera, a cinematic theatre show, it’s like a hybrid of the two. Throughout Anthropocene you will be asked by the online browser to choose between different storylines, prompts will pop up on the screen to ask you to do so. This is to give you agency over what happens in the imagined futures of Megan’s mind.
This is a digital experience.
Available from 18th at 10am – 28th at 6pm
Combining snippets of real phone conversations with pictures, texts and music, HELLO is a cross between a video diary and a series of postcards sent between two friends. It is a rumination on creativity, melancholia and what it takes to maintain connection at distance.
Every day for 7 days you will receive text messages from Bert & Nasi with a link to a different film. All the films will be available until the end of the week, then once they’re gone, they’re gone.
Please note: you will need an internet enabled phone to receive our text messages. We will also need your phone number, but we promise we won’t share any of your data with anyone else no matter how much money they offer us. No way Jose. Not even a million pounds. All personal data will be deleted after the final message has been sent.
This is a digital experience.
Thursday 18th November, 7pm – 8.30pm
Ditch uniformity and find joy in your own dancing and moving in a playful, celebratory online workshop for all ages, bodies and minds.
A neurodivergent-led space with dancing and music, DYSCO is a Relaxed workshop and dance party that connects you with the joy of the dancefloor. It isn’t about being a ‘good’ or ‘bad’ dancer, and there’s no teacher to follow – DYSCO embraces different ways of moving and believes all dancing is good when it feels good!
The resident DJ of the DYSCO, DJ DYSCOURSE (aka dyslexic, dyspraxic & ADHD dance artist Aby Watson) leads the dance party. For each track played from her curated playlist, she offers a different invitation to carry into your boogie. All invitations are simple, relaxed and can be approached in any way that works best for you.
Whether you’re dressed in comfy clothes or party clobber, get ready to get down in this virtual, intergenerational and celebratory DYSCO!
This is a digital performance, taking place on Zoom.
