Summer Invention Challenge

Calling all Gadgeteers aged 4 – 11!

Did you know, South Norwood is the birthplace of many unique and interesting inventions? Inventor William Stanley set up a factory near the train station which supplied his contraptions to artists, meteorologists and explorers across the world!

We challenge you to create a brand new invention this summer and become the next mastermind of South Norwood!

Grab a piece of A4 paper and draw or describe your creation and inspire the next generation of makers, movers and shakers. Remember to include your name, age, contact details and invention title when submitting your inventions! Please also let us know if you’d like to enter our prize draw and have your artwork displayed on our website.

You can use print off a template here then submit your inventions by 4th September and be in with a chance of winning our prize draw.

Looking for ideas to influence your invention? Why not sign up to the Gadgeteers, Summer Reading Challenge!

It’s running in all Croydon Libraries over the summer for children aged 4-11. All your child will need to do is read or listen to 6 books during the holidays!
