QUEER JOY exhibition call out

Bold Mellon are looking for submissions of artwork that truly expresses the raw, uninterrupted feeling of QUEER JOY. Think euphoric, think powerful. Beautiful emotion caught in a moment of zero-gravity. Bold Mellon are all about providing a platform for underrepresented queer voices.

This submission can be anything from photographic prints to illustration or fine art painting – essentially, artworks that can be wall-mounted in some way, but this could still be 3D! The final selections will be exhibited in the Social Café Space at Stanley Arts Centre during Croydon Pride week – 11th July – 18th July. This is an unpaid opportunity, but there is the chance to sell your work freely in the hosting venue and keep 100% of the profits! There will be an opening event on Monday 11th of July where you also be invited to discuss your work and share your process with an audience and other artists if you wish.

Artworks must already exist in physical form as we cannot fund printing, and you must be available on 11th July between 4-5pm to install your work and Monday the 18th before 4pm to strike it.

The deadline for submissions is Friday 24th June 6pm.

Successful applicants will be notified the following week commencing 27th June.

Please fill out THIS GOOD SUBMISSION FORM and we look forward to seeing your creativity!!

You can submit an audio or visual response if you wish directly to us. Any queries, please contact boldmellon@gmail.com
