New heritage engagement programme!
We’re pleased to announce that we have launched a heritage engagement programme at Stanley Arts, generously funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund. The programme celebrates the people, past and present, who have shaped South Norwood as we approach our 120th anniversary at Stanley Arts.
We invite people to share their memories, connect with the community and learn about local history through our series of heritage engagement events throughout the year.
Come by for anything from a quick look around an exhibition to a full family day out. Drop in on memory mapping events to share your stories, or get your hands dirty in our historic herb garden. Inclusivity is at the heart of our programme, and our new accessible refurbishments have opened up more of our historic building to the public so we can welcome everyone!
The programme includes:
Thursday 2nd June – Saturday 10th July Croydon through the lens of Charles Harrison Price (exhibition)
Tuesday 7th June Exhibition talk and building tour: William Stanley and his halls
Sunday 19th June Stanley’s Missing Paintings – Family Crafts
Saturday 25th June Exhibition talk: Postcards from Croydon – featuring the work of Charles Harrison Price
