New Beginnings 2024: Free rehearsal space at Stanley Arts!

We are delighted to host another New Beginnings programme for 2024!

New Beginnings is an opportunity for artists/companies to use rehearsal space at Stanley Arts for FREE, for five consecutive days, with a sharing of their work at the end.

As always, Stanley Arts are keen to hear from local artists and artists from marginalised groups.

Below are the details of the call out:

Who’s it for?
Any performing arts creative/company.

Where is it?
Stanley Arts’ address is 12 South Norwood Hill, SE25 6AB.
The spaces for each week in the building are still being confirmed but are likely to be mostly in the Scene Dock.

What slots are available?
Between 10am – 5.30pm, Monday – Friday, options below:

Slot 1 – 2nd – 6th January – Scratch Performance Saturday 6th January
Slot 2 – 8th – 12th January – Scratch Performance Friday 12th January
Slot 3 – 15th – 19th January – Scratch Performance Friday 19th January
Slot 4 – 22nd – 26th January – Scratch Performance Friday 26th January

You only need to be available for one of the above weeks. Please note, that due to limited space availability, we cannot offer alternative dates.

Do I need to do an application?
Yes, please follow this link to submit an application. If you have any accessibility requests for this application please email vicky@stanleyarts.org.

Do I need to have something to show at the end of it?
It would be great for the artist to have a sharing at the end of their time at Stanley, but this can be anything, it doesn’t need to be a finished product. You can have a public or invited audience to the sharing.
