Fresh Perks & Warm Welcomes: What’s New at the Stanley Arts Café & Coworking Space

Whether you’re stopping in for an award-winning coffee or looking for a light-filled place to work or connect, we’ve introduced a whole host of new incentives designed with community, creativity, and comfort in mind.

The Gallery at Stanley Arts is home to our Café & Coworking Space and whether you’re here to catch up with friends or to enjoy a moment of calm, we’ve made some exciting updates this Summer!

Firstly, we’ve longer hours, now serving from 9am-4pm. We’ve installed a Community Book Swap Space. Simply bring a pre-loved book, and take home something new! Explore new titles and discover wonderful books perfect for the whole family. Don’t have a book to exchange? You’re more than welcome to make a one-off donation at our Café instead.

We’ve also introduced a Pay It Forward Scheme. You can now buy a coffee, or treat for someone to claim later. It’s a small gesture that could brighten someone’s day.

Our menu now features a changing lineup of tasty, home-baked goodies. Gooey brownies, indulgent cakes and more! Plus, we’re proud to serve Volcano Coffee, a local roastery known for its sustainable practices and award-winning blends. Enjoy your 10th coffee on us!

Looking for a change of scenery from your home office? Our Coworking Space is more inviting and affordable than ever:

From just £5 a day, you can gain 9am-5pm access to our beautifully bright workspace and enjoy a free hot drink from our café.

If you need a little quieter space, we now offer private meeting rooms from £13 an hour. Ideal for a private space to hold a meeting, or to have a team brainstorm.

What makes our spaces extra special is the setting itself. The Gallery at Stanley Arts is more than just a Café and Coworking space — it’s a vibrant exhibition area steeped in history and creativity. Built in 1903, the building’s Art Nouveau architecture provides a charming backdrop.

Also in The Gallery, you’ll discover our free exhibitions that explore diverse cultures and art forms — from Diwali and Chinese New Year to local heritage, contemporary dance, theatre and Queer performance art. Recent exhibitions include; Dance Photography by Chris NashShakespeare in Norwood – A Mystery SolvedThe Life Drawing Collection 2025 and South Drawood by local artist Jonny Kemp.

Whether you’re here for the coffee, the community, the creativity, or just a quiet corner to work, our Gallery Café and Coworking Space has something new to offer you. Come see what’s brewing.

We can’t wait to welcome you.
