Participants Call-Out: Our Freedom Project

What does freedom mean to you?

Take part in our FREE intergenerational arts project exploring what Freedom means to our community.

You’ll get the chance to collaborate with artists to shape creative events for local people celebrating our differences and what we have in common.

No experience is necessary.

Our Freedom is open to anyone aged 16+ but we particularly welcome applications from people aged 16-25 and over 55.

Creative workshops will begin on Thursday 4th September from 6:30-8:30pm and then take place on Tuesdays from 9th September – 25th November from 6:30-8:30pm.

Interested?

If you’d like to take part then please fill out our short form here. Alternatively, send us a video (up to 3 minutes long) telling us why you’d like to participate.

Deadline for applications 3 September.

To find out more information please email engagement@stanleyarts.org.

Part of Our Freedom: Then and Now, a new UK-wide, locally-led arts and creative programme which will produce 60 new pieces of work reflecting on what ‘Our Freedom’ means to local people and their communities, following the 80th anniversary of VE/VJ Day. Find out more here.

Become a Regular Supporter

As a registered charity, Stanley Arts relies on donations to survive. Our Arts Council funding covers just 20% of our overall costs. Regular donors are a vital life line for our work. Just £5 a month could help us lift up talented young artists, support families and also care for our unique Grade II listed home. If you love Stanley Arts why not join the family and become a regular supporter. Now more than ever, we need your help.
