Open Call: Local Dance Enthusiasts!

Are you someone who loves to move? Do you have good coordination, a passion for dance, and a desire to be part of something creative and exciting?

We’re looking for local community members to join Delilah and Other Disasters as part of Commons Festival at Stanley Arts. You don’t need to be a professional dancer – just bring your energy, enthusiasm, and a willingness to get involved in the choreographic process.

This piece explores and challenges ideas of masculinity through movement, using the music of Tom Jones as a starting point. We aim to open up conversations around gender and power in a bold and creative way.

We’re especially welcoming to women of all ages and queer individuals – your voice and presence are important to us. If you’re someone who believes in creating meaningful work and wants to be part of a powerful, activist spirit, we’d love to hear from you.

No previous stage experience required – just commitment, openness, and a love for dancing.

The performance will take place on 17th May, with rehearsals scheduled during the two weeks leading up to the festival.
